Cells have the ability to communicate and influence each other through complex, specific pathways. Using synthetic biology, Dr. Leonardo Morsut, Assistant Professor of Stem Cell Biology at USC, seeks to understand these pathways and eventually use tissue engineering to design complex, precise tissues through the cells’ own existing faculties.
